We all know that trees are complex. From their vital role in the carbon cycle to the reduction of air pollution and shelter from the elements. Our relationship with trees is as old as time itself. In fact, human interaction with trees rewards both our mental wellbeing and physical health.

However, it is the unique benefits to the soil and the conditions that host numerous species of flora and fauna that are of particular interest here.

When we refer to trees as a complex, we're suggesting a whole made up of unified structures, in other words, an ecosystem. 😉

Paulownia at 18-months

Based in County Kildare, Ireland, we are a tree nursery providing select tree species from seedling up to two-years-old. Each species is selected for its potential impact in terms of biodiversity.

All species are carefully nurtured in an environment free of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. This level of care and attention means that our supplies are seasonal and limited.

  • Deciduous

  • C4 carbon fixation plant

  • Fast-growing, adaptable, strong, yet light, hardwood tree

  • Can withstand a wide range of environmental conditions

  • Large leaves enable greater carbon dioxide absorption

  • We offer root cuttings and trees ranging from seedlings to semi-mature trees 4 - 6M in height

Sea Buckthorn

  • "Hippophae rhamnoides"

  • A hardy, deciduous shrub

  • Produces fruit high in vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B12, carotenoids, flavonoids and beneficial fatty acids

  • Can grow up to 7-meters high

  • Provides an excellent wind-break

  • Nitrogen-fixing

  • Protects against soil erosion
